This past winter I had the chance to step inside the Barnsider Restaurant. Closed during the recession a few years past I dreamed of stepping inside. Right after Thanksgiving as I was walking along S. Main I turned down one of the alleyways and saw an open door. Entering slowly, I could hear the sounds of a table saw, and hammering. Life might come back to this old stand by of a restaurant. So with permission I entered and took a few photos.

Chairs,I love all chairs, my home used to be filled with too many chairs. With just a few chairs left, that will be sold or given to a new home. My out let for chairs is left with the empty seats that I find day in and day out.
This image was shot at The Steel Yard on Sims St. in Providence, one late afternoon in June.

This is one of the abandoned buildings in Cranston on W Road. Just south of Sockanosset Cross Rd.

Just a sad sight to see the over run buildings with great details, boarded up, broken into and turned into hide outs for the homeless.

Hat's off to the men who help keep our Neighborhood looking good.

John works for the city of Providence, taking care of trees and other beautification projects.

While working he had a large group of neighbors with their kids watching this tree grinding on Friday, April 16. This took about 15 minutes total from set up to clean up.

With the newer trees arriving and being planted, it was time for the severely damaged ones to say good bye and hello to new blooms and a bright spring.

This is a composite image. The power plant photo was taken early in the morning, silhouette. I highligted the smoke to make it look like fire, then added a gradient filter for the sky. The moon was added last with the gradient filter to blend in the colors.
